Our Purpose: The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concept of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The United Methodist Women is a supportive, inclusive Christian membership organization where women grow spiritually, develop as leaders and serve and work to create a world in which all women, children and youth thrive. UMW is celebrated as the women’s ministry of The United Methodist Church.
What do the United Methodist Women do?!?
United Methodist Women DO hands on Missions! Quilts are provided for disadvantaged; Christmas Baskets are distributed at Christmas; Scholarships are provided to graduating seniors! United Methodist Women ACT and INFORM on important issues! United Methodist Women PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES for all ages! United Methodist Women provide hands on Mission opportunities at the three National Mission Institutes that are located in Iowa: Hawthorn Hill, Bidwell-Riverside and Shesler Hall. Do you want to participate in the opportunities and hear the presentations? Check your weekly bulletin and/or monthly Visitor for the UM Women opportunities available at each of our worship centers. You are always welcome to attend our meetings and events! UNITED METHODIST WOMEN is all about FAITH – HOPE & LOVE IN ACTION!!!
