Summer Food Program

This summer there is a program through the Humboldt Schools to help parents with children 18 years and under. Parents/Guardians may pick up food for breakfast & lunches at the school on Monday (pick-up 3 meals) and Thursday (pick-up 4 meals). Times to pick up meals are 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the front entrance of each location: Twin River Bode School and Humboldt Mease School. The cost for all children under the age of 18 years old is FREE. Adults may purchase meals for $3.00 for breakfast and $4.50 for lunch. There are no income guidelines, but only a parent and/or guardian may pick up the food. For more information, please email Jim Murray at

Hanging from the window in the church office (by the west entrance) is a large calendar with the church events listed. This lets you look at the calendar and if there is something that needs to be added, email Jodi at or call 515-332-2083 to add your event.

The community United Methodist garden plot has a colorful parrot sign on the fence. You can plant in it anytime the weather permits. On June 12 & 26 (2nd & 4th Wednesdays) around 6 p.m., help may be needed for weeding. Harvest is for the food pantry. Call 515-332-4630, Merle or Janell, for interest in helping.
